I believe they don't want the Mouse anywhere near them.
Preemptively changed to avoid potential future problems. CM13 has a deal with Fox (now Disney) of basically being left alone so long as they don't make money. RMC wants to be able to host a patreon (Hosting is expensive as hell), so they need to cover their ass. It's also just not wise to rely on the kindness of corporations to not sue your ass into the dirt. Disney could basically at any time thanos snap these servers if they wanted.
They plan to do a patreon for running the servers and assisting development, so they changed sprites and the name of the server to avoid any future problems that might arise
I saw this combo in the playtest, I even experienced it myself... it scared the shit out if me.

What's weird is that the crusher evolves from the defender not the warrior, I was quite confused when I saw it.
I find the sprites kinda weird too, if it wasn't for the extra legs it'd be even harder to tell it was an evolution.
It was done as a temp fix due to the xenos getting stomped on both servers several times in a row... they continued to get stomped so they stay

Yeah, they are definitely a lot more distinct than what I thought they would be. I really liked the old sprites for the runners and the spitting acid bois but now they are a bit more on the body-horror side, if that makes sense? Not my cup of tea. I do like the warrior path resprites though, those are cool af.

@@Liltenhead I hope it comes out soon, one of the common complaints about SS14 is the lack of variant servers. This'll be a big boon to the expanding the overall playerbase.

(I hope you read this comment after 3 days) It’s cool that you watch the rounds from our server too! In fact, you fell into a fun tactic with a bunch of monkeys and swords I would also like to note that on our server we have rules regarding weapons, namely that only the captain, security service and salvagers can shoot from cool guns from the beginning of the round, the rest must quickly learn RP, otherwise they will only be able to shoot from pistols and double-barreled guns. If you want, I can throw in a more classic nuke round of Corvax (which also included me as a juggernaut)

Where is my lovely flaregun? The best support weapon a squaddie can get their hands on, ez fire stacks are great. Good deterrence if you can land your hits from behind a group.
